Built by Blohn & Voss, Hamburg, Germany. Tonnage: 11,439. Dimensions: 501' x 62' Propulsion: Twin-screw, 13 knots. Quadruple expansion engines. Masts and Funnels: Two masts and one funnel. Maiden Voyage: Hamburg to Baltimore, 16 August 1899. Ownership Change: Russian/Soviet Navy Beginning in 1905. Renamed: (a) Riga (1905), (b) Transbalt (1920). Fate: Torpedoed in Error and Sunk by USS Spadefish in La Pérouse Strait in 1945.
