Vintage Postcards - Nedre Lerfos - Trondhjem, Norway
Owing to the increasing demand for electric power the municipality of Trondhjem is at present (1907) building a new power station whereby the waterfall of Nedre Lerfos (aka Lille Leirfoss, Lille Lerfos, Nedre Leirfossen, Nedre Lerfoss) will be Utilised. It is calculated to yield about 6,000 horse-power. The work will be finished during next year, and the town will then have a surplus power of about 3,000 horse-power to let to new industries. The regulation of the river is also projected, and will without doubt be carried out in the near future. This will about treble the amount of power at the town's disposal.
