  1. Edwin Swift Balch (March 27, 1856 - 1927) Lawyer, Artist, Mountaineer
  2. Arthur Neville Chamberlain FRS (18 March 1869 – 9 November 1940) was a British Conservative politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from May 1937 to May 1940. Chamberlain is best known for his appeasement foreign policy, and in particular for his signing of the Munich Agreement in 1938, conceding the German-populated Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia to Germany. However when Adolf Hitler continued his aggression by invading Poland, Britain declared war on Germany on 3 September 1939, and Chamberlain led Britain through the first eight months of World War II
  3. George Fisher (1843 – 14 March 1905) was a four-time Mayor of Wellington, New Zealand from 1882 to 1885, and in 1896. He represented various Wellington electorates in Parliament for a total of 18 years. He was nicknamed 'Tarcoola George.'
  4. Francis "Frank" Marion Bates Fisher (22 December 1877 – 24 July 1960) was a New Zealand Member of Parliament from Wellington. He was known as Rainbow Fisher for his frequent changes of political allegiance. He was also an internationally successful tennis player.
  5. The Rev. Thomas H. Gallaudet, D.D. (June 3, 1822 – August 27, 1902), an American Episcopal priest, was born in Hartford, Connecticut. His father, The Rev. Thomas Hopkins Gallaudet, LL.D., was the renowned pioneer of deaf education in the United States. His mother, Sophia Fowler Gallaudet, who was deaf, was the founding matron of the school that became Gallaudet University.

  7. Philip Lehman (November 9, 1861 – March 21, 1947) was an American investment banker. His father, Emanuel Lehman (1827–1907), co-founded investment bank Lehman Brothers. Philip became a partner in the family-owned firm in 1887 and was the firm's managing partner from 1901 to 1925.
  8. Robert Owen Lehman, Sr. (September 29, 1891 – August 9, 1969) was an American banker, head of Lehman Brothers for decades, a notable race-horse owner, and an important art collector and philanthropist.
  9. Mr. Freeman D. Marckwald was one of the passengers on board the ill-fated steamship Atlantic, which was lost at Marr's Head in early 1873. Marckwald asks for $5,000 damages, occasioned by the loss of his baggage, detention, and the consequent injury to his business.
  10. Frank James Marshall (August 10, 1877 – November 9, 1944) was the U.S. Chess Champion from 1909 to 1936 and one of the world's strongest chess players in the early part of the 20th century.
  11. John Rex Winder (December 11, 1821 – March 27, 1910) was a leader and general authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). He was Second Counselor in the Presiding Bishopric from 1887 to 1901 and First Counselor in the First Presidency to church president Joseph F. Smith from 1901 until his death. He was well known for his business abilities and influenced Heber J. Grant. He was also active in politics and the militia, participating in the Utah War and the Black Hawk War (Utah). When the church came under heavy government pressure for its practice of plural marriage, Wonder held the church's assets to keep them from being seized by the federal government. He was a polygamist, having four wives and twenty children.
