THE RUSSIAN CRISIS.

London, Sunday Morning.
Advices from St. Petersburg stale that the Czar is about to start on a yachting cruise, but the course he will take is at pr*s°nt unknown. It is, however, understood that at some point during the voyage he will meet the Kaiser, with whom he will discuss Russia’s policy regarding the peace conference an 1 the terms cf settlement with Japan.

Later reports from St. Petersburg announce that it is positively affirmed in certain official quarters that the Czar started on his yachting cruise this morning.

CZAR TO MEET KAISER.

London, Sunday Evening.
Reuter’s correspondent confirms report that the Czar has gone to meet the Kaiser, the meeting to take place at Borgo, Finland, on board the Kaiser’s yacht, “ Hohenzollern.”

THE ZEHSTVO CONGRESS.

London, Sunday.
Telegrams from Moscow report that the Zemstvo Congress closed yesterday evening, when arrangements for summoning the next Congress were completed.

The Congress resolved to organize local assemblies in all parts of the Russian Empire for the purpose of discussing the Government’s scheme for rep resen tîftive assembly.

FURTHER TROUBLES EXPECTED.

London, Sunday Evening.
News just received announce that serious disturbances were expected to take place in St. Petersburg yesterday, being six months after “Bloody Sunday,’’January 22nd. It was rumored that the Czar had gone on a sea tr'p through fear of an outbreak.

M. WITTE INTERVIEWS FRENCH PRESIDENT.

London, Sunday.
M. Witte, the Russian peace plenipoten- tiaiy, who is still in Paris, had interviews with President Loubet and Premier Rouvier yesterday.

THE ATTACK ON THE SULTAN OF TURKEY.

London, Sunday.
Telegrams from Constantinople report that it is now officially ascertained that 24 persons were killed and 57 injured by explosion of bomb thrown at the Sultan of Turkey on Friday.

Sergeant Comber, of the East Surrey Volunteers, won the King's Prize.

THE ENGLISH PARLIAMENTARY CRISIS.

Mr. Balfour has gone away for the weekend. Politicians are now anxiously awaiting the Premiers’s decision in the House of Commons tomorrow.

THE CHARGES AGAINST CHICAGO BEEF PACKERS.

London, Sunday.
A cable from New York states that Attorney General Moody, speaking at Nabaht, Massachusetts, declared that he believed the charges against eighteen of the largest packers of Chicago were well founded, and that the accused will be brought up for trial during the year.
