Foreword

In selecting the pictures for this volume an effort was made to show as many sections of the camp as possible, and with individual photographs, groups and miscellaneous scenes to give representation to every branch of the service and to every organization stationed at Camp Zachary Taylor during the height of its military activities.

These pictures were all censored and released for publication by the Intelligence Officer, having been taken under a War Department Permit at a time when military regulations prohibited the use of a camera in camp.
