Smith & Wesson Target Shotguns - Super Skeet and Trap Guns (1982)

TARGET SHOTGUNS

The word is out. People who shoot Model 1000 autoloaders are smoking targets and winning trophies. And now you have a wider choice than ever of these outstanding performers … one just right for your type of shooting and your pocketbook.

Four Target Shotguns From Smith & Wesson

From Top to Bottom: Model 1000 12 Gauge 2 3/4" Steel Receiver Trap Gun; Model 1000 12 Gauge 2 3/4" Skeet Gun; Model 1000 12 Gauge 2 3/4" Super Skeet; and the Model 1000 20 Gauge 2 3/4" Super Skeet.

THE SUPER SKEET

The unique Super Skeet, a very special member of the Model 1000 family, is now available in both 12 and 20 gauge models.

As soon as you pick up the Model 1000S Super Skeet you'll feel the difference. The right hand palm swell positions your hand and trigger finger perfectly.

The special hand-fitted and tuned trigger has been contoured asymmetrically, rounded on the right side, to give you maximum comfort and control of the crisp trigger pull.

The "cast-off" stock is precisely angled to the right to provide fast, positive eye alignment as the gun is being shouldered.

A couple of swings is all it takes to sense the perfect balance and weight distribution. One and two ounce swing compensating weight caps are included to permit the shooter to tailor the balance to his individual shooting style.

As you sight down the barrel you'll find the mid point bead on the wide, matte-finished vent rib and a "Bright Point" light gathering, fluorescent red front sight. And a center track that leads you right to the target.

The barrel of the Super Skeet is unique, too. A special recessed skeet choke provides more uniform distribution of the shot within the pattern. You can see the difference on your own pattern board and experience it in your skeet scores.

Fifteen special muzzle vents, five on each side and five on the bottom, soften recoil and reduce muzzle jump to help you get to that double fast.

Any 2 3/4" chambered barrel may also be used with the Super Skeet, giving the competitive shooter the added versatility of a premium quality field gun.

THE MODEL 1000 TRAP GUN

One look is all you'll need to see that there is another very special member of the Model 1000 family — The 12 gauge 2 3/4" steel receiver Model 1000 Trap Gun.

Of course, this gun incorporates all the quality workmanship and features that make the Model 1000 autoloader such a great performer. In addition, it has a raft of special features that make it an outstanding value for your trap gun dollars.

This gun has a Monte Carlo trap stock. Its medium width step rib has a white mid-point bead and a Bradley front bead that brings you right on the target.

There's an integral wire shell catcher which holds the empties for singles and which can be quickly removed for doubles. The trigger has been specially tuned.

And each gun has a 30" Multi-choke barrel with modified, improved modified and full tubes to allow you to tailor your Model 1000 trap gun for handicap shooting.

In addition to these special guns, there are standard Model 1000 skeet guns, in 12 and 20 gauge, with either lightweight or steel receivers and 26" skeet barrels.
