U.S. Naval Training Center - San Diego, California - USNTC The Anchor Yearbook Archives
Commissioned in 1923, the recruit training was limited until 1942, when the Station was operating at a capacity of 33,000 men (25,000 Recruits). During WWII, the training period ranged from three to seven weeks. The Anchor was published for each graduating class at the San Diego Recruit Training Command and provided a record of the training, names and portraits of the graduating class and the portraits of the Commanders of the Company and regiment.
