From there it snowballed into a collection of canards about the Nordic race that only a member of that race could fail to appreciate. Not just old jokes, but whole treatises on aspects of Scandinavian character and behavior. Grab a cup of black coffee and a bowl of Jell-O, sit down and cuddle up with this book. It will provide no warmth, of course, but a lot of light.
