O'Day Javelin Sailboat with Specifications and Standard Features (1967)

The O'Day Javelin Sailboat

In designing Javelin, a fast-growing class that's being sailed and raced throughout the country, special emphasis was placed on stability (a beam that measures 4'6" at the waterline) and roominess (almost ten feet of cockpit space). All this, without sacrificing speed and maneuverability.

Javelin is unusually stable ... but she'll ghost in zephyrs and plane in heavier winds. She'll move out nicely, too, with a 7 hp outboard or smaller.
